I love this interview It really showed a side of Kalenna I have ever seen I love it so much. Dawn you did such a amazing job and ask the best questions. I learned allot from her music influences to her personal life things she had to over come. This was inspirational and I love her for being so opened and she shared so much. Im so happy to see two strong Black women doing there thing and being so postive and having so much love in yall heart I love yall god bless

KALENNA, SAY NO TO THE ROOSTER….
I live in the freakin city… You know that Washington, DC is NOT the country and my neighbors (I love my Hispanic neighbors though) have 2 roosters and had 3 hens (unfortunately we also have a posse of feral cats that took the hens on up outta here, 12 cats at last count, but even their numbers are starting to decrease because my Afro neighbors have now invested in bb guns)… There’s always a sorry from my neighborhood…
At 430 EVERY morning it starts cock-ka-doddle-do and I PROMISE you it last until 6pm, EVERYDAY… But not to fear the feral cats begin their nightly orgy sessions EVERY NIGHT around 7pm and go all night long….
Don’t me wrong I love animals but I’ve learn to go after those that make very little sound….
But most importantly I absolutely love this interview…. For the first time we get to hear from KLean herself, and it’s not brushed over it’s done right…. From the moment Dawn said over a year ago now, this is Kalenna, she’s in Dirty Money, pay attention she’s dope, I am now so glad that I started paying attention immediately, because nothing about K’s amazing talent, her diligence and dedication to her craft, her out of the box thinking, her humor, and her sacrifices for her dreams are no surprise to hear, but rather it overwhelming to know that she understands with all of that her greater human responsibility is to go through all of this in order to 1. be great herself and 2. to pass the knowledge on.
Besides the chemistry of you two is perfect, as friends, as women, as artist and just extremely talented women…

Thanks for the interview Dawn! I loved seeing yall in a laid back environment. Kaleena kept it all the way real, she was funny, and inspirational. She has a great personality an she is such a beautiful person. My fav part of this interview was seeing you (Dawn) look at her while Kalenna spoke about her son… I was like, awwwwww!! Oh and I was cracking up laughing at the whole “prostitute ranch” part at the end.
Dawn, I think Kalenna should interview you next… so we can get more background info on you. Like dancing with your mom an singing with your daddy. Maybe talk some about your sports background (When was the last time you played basketball?) or cheerleading durning college days or making your first CD. Im just curious and I wanna hear personalized stories just like Kalenna gave. I know a little bit about those subjects but, I wanna hear more.
